MacOS support has been temporarily dropped until a Vulkan implementation is implemented. Until then, please use this older Citra version:
Download citra-osx-20220901-d380980.tar.gz from Release nightly-1782 · citra-emu/citra-nightly · GitHub Extract the .tar.gz file and run citra-qt. (edited)

Firstly thanks very much for all the hard work that people have and are putting into Citra, a brilliant achievement + kudos to you all

I did notice that you guys have now implemented Vulkan, does that mean we can expect a new MacOs version incorporating Vulkan soon too?

MacOS doesn’t support Vulkan natively if I recall correctly. Apple has their own bootleg version of it called MoltenVK. Which should be easy enough to port, but might not be as performant. We’ll have to see.

There are currently test builds out for Windows and Linux for the Vulkan backend as it is. But there’s still a bit of work that needs to be done before it has feature parity with OpenGL. After that, we’ll look into porting it to MacOS and Android.

Thanks for the update @SleepingSnake + very informative too
