Problems with updating

Issue:
After the last citra update, the program closed very often, it took a long time to open and save the games.

The program does not allow me to open or save saved games since “std :: bad_alloc” updates it.

Since the update I was able to open the files saved before the update but now I can’t anymore and “array size too short” appears.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

Since save states are a new feature you can expect some issues. What you can do is load on an old version -> save properly in-game -> load the save normally(don’t load state) on the newer version -> save a new state. You should be able to load the new state instead.

My game was running literally perfect after tweaking it for 2 days straight. I stupidly updated it this morning now nothing works at all and quits on my Mac every time I click anything. So upsetting I was just getting to the good part of my nostalgia.

If I download a previous version of Citra do I lose my in-game data?

Nope you shouldn’t lose any save data. You should be able to load the old state on this build: https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/download/nightly-1493/citra-osx-20200419-1856752.tar.gz extract it and run its citra-qt (citra-qt.app\Contents\MacOS\)

Then you can proceed to do the things I mentioned in my previous post.

I have the exact same issue with Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Ever since updating yesterday i get the “Array size too short” error when loading.
