Recording Citra Movies

#1

When recording a video of gameplay using Citra, is there anyway to play it back using anything other than Citra? If not, is there anyway to record in a more universal format other than ctm?

#2

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by Citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File.

ctm is very specific to citra, its not a video format like mp4. that’s like asking to play dota/cs go replays and demos on another application. you can use the ‘Dump Video’ feature to record a webm video.

Okay, the Dump Video feature does work and gets me an actual usable video file, but WOW, does that eat the CPU cycles lol I get 60 fps on the game I’m playing, and when I use the Dump Video feature, I average about 2 fps lol Wish there were a better way, but it does work. Thanks!

Wait. There’s a dump video feature in Citra? When did that happen?

Also, .ctm is use to record your inputs. If save states are added in Citra, we could do some crazy TAS videos.
