Regular crashing in Pokemon Omega Ruby

Issue:
Everytime I play Omega Ruby, within 5 minutes Citra crashes and I have to restart. This happens everytime. Strangely, if I press and hold the ‘backslash’ key, it resumes music and the game, but at very, very low fps - this lasts 10 secs and then also stops working.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64bit

  • CPU: AMD FX-8350 400Mhz, 4 core

  • GPU: AMD r9290

  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Nightly

  • Game: Pokemon Omega Ruby

I found some issues in that log that need resolving:

  • Citra is currently utilizing open-source system files which may cause emulation to be less accurate, but not affect system stability.

the backslash key by default actives ‘Frame Advancing’, either don’t use that key or change the ‘Enable Frame Advancing’ keys.
close citra and change the following lines on the qt-config.ini file located on C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\citra\config:

Shortcuts\Main%20Window\Advance%20Frame\KeySeq=\\
Shortcuts\Main%20Window\Toggle%20Frame%20Advancing\KeySeq=Ctrl+A

e.g: KeySeq=F6, KeySeq=Shift+L, KeySeq=5, etc…
