Rune Factory 4: consistently slows down when entering certain areas in game

Game slows down to <15% speed when entering certain areas in-game, becoming unplayable. If a save file is created at that point, the slow speed lingers even after exiting Citra and loading the save file. For context, this only started occurring about 50hrs real time in to the game. The only change to my laptop has been the usual updates with Citra when I get promoted to do so.

Unable to upload the txt file as instructed. What do?

UPDATE: Was able to upload the .old.txt file which looks to contain the errors as the .txt does.

Big Sad :frowning: gave up. Uninstalled Citra. Is it possible to delete a forum post? I don’t want to give anyone else hope that RF4 will work through end of game.

You’re using save states beyond single gaming sessions, that’s your problem. Just use your in-game save file and it’ll work.

However long it takes for us to have the time to do the forums. Remember that we’re all volunteers here, if we get busy IRL, it can take a long while before we can respond. Generally speaking, our Discord server provides answers faster than the forums.
