Rune Factory 4 FPS drop Cutscenes

The cutscene on first 1-2 sec was smooth at 30fps, but it drop to 20-30 fps fluctuating (somemore stutter) after those few sec till the end. Gameplay was smooth and no issue. I tried Canary version but just improve by increase 1-2 fps.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from NVIDIA’s website. Download Drivers | NVIDIA
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.
  • Please enable the Vsync option if you are experiencing screen tearing.

You can try underclock Citra in the System tab in the configuration but you might freeze so don’t use it for too long. Many of these cutscenes are very CPU heavy and you are on a laptop CPU which is just inherently weaker. I have some slowdowns too even on Ryzen 9 3900X.

Solution work fine for the cutscene now with very few stutter after tried to underclock to 85%. The freeze will still come halfway when trying to reduce to 80%, but still a good temporary solution. Thanks.
