Save files location

Hi everyone, i want to update my citra version, but i don’t want to lose my save files, i run citra canary with win ds pro, i went to %appdata%/roaming/citra, but i can’t find the user folder, are the save files there?

operating system: windows 10 64bit
cpu: intel i6600k
gpu: zotac gtx1060
citra version: canary 1274, HEAD-9db7b4d

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by Citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File.

The save files are deep in the sdmc folder in %appdata%\Citra i.e C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Citra.

You can also right click on the game and pick “open save data location” for each of them.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from NVIDIA’s website. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

So if i copy the entire sdmc folder i have a backup of my save files?

Yes, it is the emulated SD card so it even contains game updates etc.
