Save State Location (Not Save Files)

Issue:
I’m trying to use a Pokemon Rumble World ROM hack (Pokemon Rumble World Diamonds/P Tool | GBAtemp.net - The Independent Video Game Community), but since the save file gets corrupted every time I leave I’ve been using save states. But the problem is I don’t know how to access save states (I’m assuming they’re different from save files?) in order to edit them.

ye idrc bot it’s not needed for the solution I think

Save states are different from save files, you’re right. They save the entire state of Citra, not just the game. You can’t edit these with a save editor as you would a normal game save file.
They are located in File > Open Citra Folder > states however.

Interesting but I’ve been reading online about how you can hex edit save states, that’s a thing right?

Not sure how well it works, haven’t tested that myself. But definitely could be an option. I know it works well with normal save files but not sure how it will fare with save states.

Ah I see, well if you ever want to try to do it for a Pokemon Rumble World statesave, I’m currently trying to do the edit but I’m not tech savy enough to understand most of the jargon, if you’re successful in changing a statesave for any game really do let me know!

So I installed HxD and tried to edit my PokeDiamonds on one of my savestates but I can’t seem to find the value to edit. I have 33 PokeDiamonds but if I search the number ‘33’, it gives me a ton of results so I’m probably gonna be stumped
