Severe Speed Drops

Issue:
Everytime I play a course in MARIOKART 7, I experience abnormal speed drops that slow my game down and makes it annoying to play on Citra. For example, Speed: 49%/100%. Sometime I get good speeds but that rare. I don’t know what to do next so I’m here. If someone can please help, that’ll be great.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

This is most likely due to your AMD GPU. Unforunately, AMD’s OpenGL drivers on Windows are really bad. This causes performance loss in OpenGL based programs like Citra.

You can try disabling Hardware Shaders in Emulation>Configuration>Graphics>Advanced Tab. This sometimes boosts performance for AMD GPUs. You should also keep the Disk Shader Cache enabled (found in the same location), as this will help to reduce stutter over time.
