Sudden bad bouts of lag on Tomodachi Life

Issue:
Never really had any particularly bad issues with emulating this game, but suddenly it decided it was going to run at about 10-14 fps when it was running at about 30-34 fps without warning. As far as I am aware, it has not updated anything recently.

The version that I have is primarily for corruptions, and it is a bit older, however I am unsure as to why it suddenly slowed down. I can run other emulators without issue, such as Dolphin and MelonDS.
My computer also doesn’t seem to be a fan of OpenGL, despite having it. Even so, it will refuse to boot the title without having CPU JIT, Hardware Renderer/Shader/Accurate Multiplication, and VSync enabled.
Meanwhile, Kid Icarus: Uprising runs at a staggering 30 fps SOLID without lag/stuttering issues of any kind. I do not know why Tomodachi is so angry, but boy is it.
Could it have to do with Mii data?

I have also told both Windows and Intel to give more priority to Citra/CitraQT.
Any speedup suggestions outside of buying new hardware? (That is totally off the table for me as of the current time of writing.)

As an aside, turning off the shader cache will sometimes allow the game to boot, and it will be pretty quick, but it would still be nice to have others input.

Citra Vanguard isn’t a supported version. Try installing Nightly or Canary instead, as they are supported.
