Hi, I’ve recently found that Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga DX runs perfectly from boot for me, however results in crashing at certain intervals in the game. Instead of a full crash though, the whole screen freezes. Audio still works fine and you can still control the game as good as blind person could. Would anyone know what is causing this issue? Please note that I have no difficulty running any other roms.

The log file doesn’t show the game running. Try disabling Hardware Shader.
I cannot disable that as the game requires accurate multiplication in order for certain sprites to show up.
That’s only required when Hardware Shaders are enabled.
Well the game cannot even boot with hardware shader disabled anyway.
What? Can you send a screenshot of your graphics settings?
You sure you’re disabling Hardware Shader and not Hardware Renderer? There’s no reason for it to work with Hardware Shader but not without it.
I’m only disabling hardware shader.
Really strange. I’ll try to bring this issue up with the developers. You may need to create an issue, so keep the details including the complete log & screenshots on hand. Also preferably get a screenshot of the issue. A video would be even better.
Okay, how can I create an issue?
Go to Citra’s GitHub page, on the Issues tab, click on the New Issue button.
has this issue been fixed? finding the same thing at the same point in the game.
Yes, it worked for me. Just disable Shaders
