The camera on my laptop PC is not working properly in Citra


Citra does not recognize the built-in camera on my laptop PC, is there a solution?
The camera light on my PC lights up, but remains black and nothing shows up.

I have tried both Nightly and Canary.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Home
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8565U
  • GPU: Intel Graphics 620
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra 1794
  • Game: unconfirmed

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File

Try launching Citra as an administrator (right click on Citra->run as administrator). It might be a permission related issue.

I also tried “run as administrator” but it was impossible.

What should I do?
The camera in the Discord app works fine.

Then I’m afraid I don’t know. Our inputs system is a bit janky at the moment, and in a need of a rewrite. You might just have to wait for emulator improvements. Sorry for the inconvenience.
