The Legend of Zelda Link Between Worlds Extremely Laggy and Buggy

Most of the games I have encountered through Citra work very well, the 30 fps games running at a stable 30 fps and most of the 60 fps games running at a stable 60 fps. However, A Link Between Worlds takes an extremely long time to start up, jumping from 60fps to a numb 0% 0 fps before even reaching the game. Once I finally get into the game I will be running at 60fps for a few seconds and then suddenly the audio starts glitching and the game goes down to 10-20%. I have not experienced this issue with any other.
