That part of the log is related to StreetPass if I remeber correctly (even though StreetPass doesn’t have a proper implementation yet). Just thought I would point that out to avoid confusion.
Save data seemed to work fine for the game with the latest nightly. Thanks again! 
Hmm, I had thought that the inability to map d-pad inputs was exclusive to the Play Store version, or older versions in general. I didn’t realize until now that that issue is still present in current versions. That complicates things. I really wish that the official version could work the d-pad properly, like the unofficial one can. I guess there’s no one ideal version at present…
