Hello, This is my first time trying to play with a friend on citra, so…
I’m trying to play multiplayer with a friend, we use two different laptops and we are in the same network. I tried with unlisted and public room and that error keeps :c.
Also I verified that IP and Host numbers are the same (in my friend’s laptop, me being the host). (we both are using the same citra version)
[[I tried playing with two citras in the same Laptop (mine) and it worked, but sometimes gets that error too and sometimes doesn’t…]]
What should we do?
Need help please
, I really want to play with my friend .

citra_log.txt (4.0 KB)
In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file:
How to Upload the Log File

But still the error with both IPs
I took another screenshot.
Is the port open in the router? If not you will need to do that.
Here is one of many examples:
It will look different since there are many brands out there.
Also before that I created a inbound rule (watching a video). Here it is:
and I don’t know if this has something to do:
As I said i did it watching a video, I’m a newbie at these things.
… is it necessary if both devices are connected to the same network?
I re-added the Port Forwarding.
Still not working.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
No it shouldn’t be needed. I can access like
192.168.1.115:5502 (Visual Studio Code → Live Server) from my phone and I host the server on my PC. 5502 is not open in my router.
I don’t use advanced firewall settings in Windows, the simple one works fine. Usually when you start Citra from a new folder there will be a pop up window where you can check two boxes. If you check both boxes then that will allow it:
