When trying to open the Configure in the Emulation category, Citra goes into not responding

When trying to open the Configure in the Emulation category, Citra goes into “not responding” for a while and eventually crashes completely. ( for both Nightly and Canary )
Running a game works fine. just can’t open the configure menu

(On my old PC it still works fine and that is an Intel 5, but that thing is way too old even to run things decently.)

I never had this problem before, the last time I played was in 2022.
The problem started in May, I waited a few weeks hoping an update would fix it, but it is still the same.

I have tried a number of different things, but we always end up with the same result.
(such as deleting the config file in the folder)

citra_log.txt.old.txt (512.4 KB)
citra_log.txt (5.8 KB)

These are the logs from my back-up of the time before I reinstalled Citra.
( Reinstalling didn’t solve the problem either.)

The reason I want to open this tab is because I need to set some controls and I cannot play without them.
