Dual Destinies existed in long time while Spirit of Justice was recently release yet somehow it has better performance
I don’t the analogy that a game would be perform better if it came out before another game in the series. Games could be programmed differently and as a result perform differently. Look at Pokemon X and Y compared to the other games. Keep in mind, the ratings are based on user submitted test cases. Not all of them can be accurate and as a result have inaccurate ratings.
