Yuzu getting worse with everything

Hello, unfortunately I’m having large issues with Yuzu.

I’m going to stick with 2 titles to focus on.
Axiom Verge 1 v1.0.0
Metroid Dread v2.1.0

Post EA 2804 onwards (June 27th, 2022), Yuzu has been functioning worse and worse. First was low fps in all games that require multicore, they stopped hitting 60 or even 30 depending on the title no matter the changes made and, unlocking the FPS does nothing.

Now with further updates, 2d titles like Axiom Verge 1 have constant audio crackles with multicore on OR off & with multicore on the fps won’t pass 20.

Worse yet old builds that work did like EA 2804 with Metroid Dread specifically, now crash after the save file selection. Once the game actually starts to boot to gameplay I crash, previous files selected, or new save files brings the same result. A full shutdown of Yuzu.

This is what I’ve done:
I reinstalled Windows
Made sure my AMD 5900x chipset is updated
I deleted AppData > Roaming > yuzu > config qt-config.ini file
Clean installed Nvidia drivers 516.59, I even clean installed driver 512.
59 despite having an EVGA 3080 FTW3
Nvidia Control Panel Managed 3D settings for the Yuzu are:
OpenGL rendering GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080
Power Management: Prefer maximum performance
Threaded optimization: on
Vertical sync: off
I removed all enhanced settings in Yuzu
removed game updates in Yuzu
tried both API’s
Asynchronous on and off
extended my page file to 10000 Initial size & 32000 Maximum I have 32Gb of RAM
I deleted all data in save file folders for dread, still no difference

If older builds deemed as good worked previously, you have a system issue. Issues don’t travel back in time.

Please check event viewer. Right click the start button, open event viewer, go to Windows logs > Apps, right click Apps, select find… and look for error or critical yuzu results. Either copy the details here or check which .dll causes the crashes.

First time I see an app crash because of the OS like that. Check memory and CPU stability.

Yuzu mainline 1100 Dread loads past file selection AND plays!! But runs at 8 fps with prerendered cutscenes and 28fps in game, unlocked is 35

I will check in my BIOS and stress test the CPU, I have no custom settings right now beyond 3600 RAM speed.

I have the same problem with Kirby and the forgotten land and Xenoblade 1 and 2.

Older versions worked well. Now I get maximum of 10 fps. Ryujinx works full speed.

Just FYI I have no experience with C++, full disclosure

I have seen that as well. People with AMD CPUs and Nividia RTX cards.
I tried reinstalling my drivers and deactivating Resizable BAR.

So I messed with Ram speeds ranging from 2133 (base clock) to 4000MHz there was no difference :frowning_face:

Try the current latest mainline.

With 1114 it works again. Thank you.
